Mega blood donation, health camps held

To honour the bravery and sacrifice of the forefathers who laid down their lives for the freedom of Manipur, the Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) organised the 83rd Mega Blood Donation Camp at five different locations on Monday.
The blood donation camp was held under the banner "Maheiroi Khunai amadi Leibak Meeyamgidamak Kathoklaba Ee" at RIMS Hospital, JNIMS Hospital, Babina Specialty Hospital, Shija Hospital & Research Institute and District Hospital Thoubal.
Altogether, 72 volunteers of DESAM donated their blood during the camp to help address the shortage of blood in the State.
Also, the DESAM has extended its gratitude to L Nandakumar, Deputy Commissioner of Chandel District for his support in making the camp a success.
Meanwhile, in connection with "Kangleipaki Yelhoumeegi Numit", the Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) organised a Free Mega Health Camp at CH Tulasingh High School in Awang Sekmai, Koujengleima on Sunday.
Doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals from AAM Tengdongyan, AAM Awang Wabagai, CHC Awang Sekmai, JNIMS Hospital, Angel Hospital (Uripok), Dr Helena Eye Care Hospital (North AOC), Dr Sushil (PMR) and PADMA Medicare provided free consultations and medicines to the patients during the camp.
IPAK has conveyed its appreciation to the clus of Awang Sekmai, Meira Paibis, COCOMI Sekmai Branch, IPSA, PANDM, ACOAM-Lup Kangleipak, LOYA-Lup, ERDO-Kangleipak, ANDROK, KSA, KIL, Kanglamei, SWA, MIKL, CLK and AKSIL for their support & cooperation.
