ADC election process gathering momentum in Tamenglong

Tamenglong, May 03 2015 : A hectic preparation for the forthcoming Autonomous District Council is gathering momentum in Tamenglong.

The district administration has published electoral roll for the polling.

The Assistant Returning Officer (ARO)/ SDOs issued notices for filling of nomination papers.

The BJP declared four candidates yesterday for Tamenglong.

The four candidates are lone ticket seekers in their segments.

The four BJP candidates are Saul Kamei in 8- Saramba segment, Houkholal Singson in 10- Phaitol segment, Namgomang Pamei in 13- Tamenglong segment and Poukhui Gangmei in 22- Rengpang segment.

The Naga People Front (NPF) has issued 73 tickets to the candidates for the upcoming Autonomous District Council (ADC) Manipur election scheduled to be held on June 1 at the ticket distribution ceremony at NPF central office yesterday.

In all 73 NPF candidates 18 candidates has for Tamenglong district.

18 NPF candidates includes Wipongbou of Kadi village contested in 1-Kuilong segment, Tuntanbou of Dunong village contested in 2- Chaton segment, Liangpibou of Rianglong village contested in 3- Kungphung segment, Talubou of Tamah village contested in 4- Tamei HQs segment, Namsinrei Panmei of New Pallong village contested in 5- Lamlaba segment.

PT Sangjiuying of Tousem Khullen contested in 6- Tousem Segment, Ramningle Pame of Impa village contesting in Magulong segment, Micah Panmei of Thiulon village contesting in 8- Saramba segment, Houkholal Singson of Phaitol contesting in 10- Phaitol segment.

Kairiliangbou Moita of Tharon contesting in 11- Tharon segment, G.Keikhumjanang of Tamenglong Ward No.V contesting in Dailong Segment, Lungsangai of Tamenglong contesting in in 13- Tamenglong, Poukinlung of Chiuluan contesting in 14- Chiuluan Segment, Ramkung Pamei of Namkaoluang contesting in 15- Cheangdai segment.

Adai Kamei of Tupul contesting in18- Noney segment, Meidinlung Pamei of Thangal contesting in 19- Dollang segment, Lungsingam Leo Longmei of Luangreng contesting in 21- Luangreng segment and Manlak Gangmei of Rengpang contesting in 22- Rengpang segment.

Disclosing this to Hueiyen Lanpao, General Secretary NPF Manipur, Ashang Pame said that NPF is hoping to get at least simple majority in the ADC Tamenglong.

He said that the party will officially kick off its campaign on 12 May at Senapati district.

NPF central president Dr.Sh�rhozelie Liezetsu, Chief Minister Nagaland T.R.Zeliang, NPF Ministers from Nagaland and many VIPs will attend the kicks of function, Ashang said.

While appealing all the Zeliangrong people of intending candidates to give consensus candidate to the Naga People Front (NPF), Ashang Pame said that there are 8/9 consensus candidates from Senapati and Ukhrul districts.

"We are looking forward the same from Zeliangrong brothers.

We humbly request you to give consensus candidates to NPF candidates in the forthcoming ADC election", Ashang added.

He also reminded of the party's first and foremost goal was to solve the Naga problem imprinted in NPF constitution and also full support to the political dialogue going on between GoI and Naga underground groups.

He went on to inform that NPF will release its manifestos by TR Zeliang, Chief Minister of Nagaland on 12 May during the kicks off campaign at Senapati.
