BJP mourns demise of Khashim Ruivah

Imphal, April 03 2025: BJP Manipur Pradesh has condoled the untimely demise of former minister and two-time MLA from Chingai AC Dr Khashim Ruivah, who passed away on April 2 at RIMS after a prolonged illness.

A team from BJP Manipur Pradesh, led by party president A Sharda Devi, along with general secretary Deven and other party members, visited Dr Khashim Ruivah's private residence at Nagaram on Thursday to offer their condolences and shared the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family.

Born in 1939 in Somdal village in Ukhrul, Dr Ruivah was first elected to the Manipur Legislative Assembly in 1999 and served as a minister.

He was later inducted in the council of ministers under the W Nipama-cha-led government.

He was re-elected to the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly and played a significant role as a BJP member.
