Anti-drug programmes held at Kakching relief camps

Kakching, April 02 2025:
The District Administration Kakching in collaboration with the District Social Welfare Office, Kakching conducted anti-drug awareness programmes at various relief camps of Kakching District.
The programmes conducted as part of the District Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (Drug Free India Campaign) were held at the Wangoo Tera High School Relief Camp, Ema Tampha Lairembi Relief Camp and Wangoo Chigonglei Relief Camp.
The programmes were graced by the officials of the District Social Welfare Office, Kakching and Yengkhom Basanta Singh, SAVO as resource person along with the inmates of the Relief Camps.
Also, similar awareness programmes were held on Tuesday at the SC ST Relief Camp, Kongoi Relief Camp, Wabagai Relief Camp and Keirak Sanatombi Relief Camp.
The objective of the programmes is to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, educate participants on the importance of a drug-free lifestyle and promote a sense of responsibility towards building a drug-free healthy society.
Also, to gain and maintain the support of the people to rise together against drugs.
It may be mentioned that the District Social Welfare Office Kakching, has been conducting a series of awareness and sensitization programs under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) in different parts of Kakching District.
