Assam Rifles brings vital healthcare to remote villages of Manipur

In a heartfelt initiative aimed at uplifting rural healthcare, Assam Rifles organized free medical camps in Kakching and Ukhrul districts of Manipur, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare of communities in remote and underserved regions.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), a medical camp was held at Serou in Kakching District on August 30, where 74 villagers received health consultations and free medicines.
The event was a lifeline for many, especially senior citizens, women, and children, who often face challenges in accessing medical services due to distance and financial constraints.
A dedicated team of medical personnel conducted thorough health examinations, offered guidance on preventive care, and addressed a range of ailments, from seasonal illnesses to chronic conditions.
The initiative was met with enthusiastic participation and deep appreciation from the local population, who recognized the Force's continued efforts in safeguarding not just their security but also their well-being.
Continuing its outreach, the Somsai Battalion Assam Rifles conducted another medical camp at Tusom CV in Ukhrul District today, catering to residents of Tusom CV, Tusom Khullen, New Tusom, and Kongai villages.
A total of 110 villagers, including 15 infants and 45 women, benefitted from the camp.
The medical team provided comprehensive care, including general check-ups, distribution of essential medicines, and personalized consultations.
The event strengthened the bond between the Force and the local communities, with villagers expressing heartfelt gratitude for the compassionate service.
These camps exemplify the multifaceted role of Assam Rifles�not only as protectors of peace but also as pillars of humanitarian support.
