25 persons arrested by CCpur police so far

Churachandpur district police has released a list of people arrested so far in connection with the ongoing violence in the state.
The list, however, does not mention whether the arrested people are in judicial custody or have been released on bail.
According to the list made available to media, nine people were arrested on September 5 under the same FIR number 2016 (09)2023 CCP, and all of them are charged with mischief causing damage (IPC 427); criminal trespassing (IPC 447); house-trespassing (IPC 448); and acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention (IPC 34).Seven people were arrested on July 19 under FIR No 1208(07)2023 CCP but no IPC section has been mentioned.
Five people were arrested on May 17 under FIR No 102(5)2023 CCP and they are charged with theft in dwelling houses (IPC 380) .
Meanwhile, two people were arrested on May 18 under two different FIRs and they are charged with snatching, snatching after preparation made for causing death, hurt or restraint in order to the committing of snatching (IPC 379) .
Two persons were also arrested under FIR No 109(5) 2023 CCP and they are charged under Section 25(1-C) of the Arms Act, 1959 .
Offence under the section 379of Arms Act include manufactures, sells, Transfers, converts, repairs, tests or proves, or exposes or offers for sale or transfer, or has in his possession for sale, transfer, conversion, repair, test or proof, any arms or ammunition, shortens the barrel of a firearm or converts an imitation firearm into a firearm, bring into, or takes out of, India, any arms or ammunition of any class or description.
Section 379(1-C) deals with whoever commits the offence in any disturbed area.
