Imphal, September 22 2023:
Former MLA of Wangoi Constituency Salam Joy has categorically stated that the design of Kuki narco-terrorists to rob the land of indigenous people and establish their homeland will never succeed and added that any attempt to disintegrate Manipur by intimidating and carrying out hostile campaigns against the Meeteis is bound to fail.
The ex-MLA visited the relief camps set up at Samurou Government High School at Samurou and Thambal Leima High School at Iramsiphai and donated relief materials and edibles for the inmates taking refuge, today.
Speaking to the media, S Joy claimed that the violence in Manipur was engineered by Kuki narco-terrorists.
Saying that Meeteis, on the other hand, have been living peacefully with every community, he said that whatever the Meeteis have been doing since the onset of the violence is to protect their lives and villages from the onslaught of Kuki narco-terrorists.
The ex-MLA went on to state that the plan of the Kukis who intruded into the State to establish their homeland by bifurcating Manipur will never succeed.
S Joy said that many Meetei families have been made homeless by the aggression of Kuki narco-terrorists and are taking refuge elsewhere.
Truth will always prevail and so will the Meeteis, the ex-MLA asserted and urged the Government to take up befitting action against the Kuki narco-terrorists to end the violence.
