Sensitisation programme on TB held

Bishnupur, March 28 2025: As part of Manipur State TB Elimination campaign, the District TB Centre Bishnupur in collaboration with Moirang Municipal Council organised a 'TB Sensitisation Programme' at the office of Moirang Municipal Council.

It was attended by District TB Officer, DTC Bishnupur Dr Soraisam Brojen, Chief Executive Officer Moirang Municipal Council, M Inaobi, District TB Control Bishnupur Coordinator, L Premkumar as presidium members.

At the event many emphasized the importance of early detection and the precautionary measures to be taken to prevent TB disease.

Speaking at the event, District TB Officer, Dr Soraisam Brojen said that every year TB disease claims more than 4000 lives in the world.

"Urging the people to join hands in eliminating TB from the country, he emphasizes the need of collectiveness in fighting TB.

The programme was also attended by staff of Moirang Municipal Council, Sanitary staff and residents of nearby areas.
