Imphal, March 27 2025: Indian Army conducted a lecture programme on 'Water Preservation' at Corner Stone School, Chingmang in Kangpokpi district on Wednesday, to raise awareness about the urgent need to preserve water and adopt sustainable practices in everyday life.

In a release, PRO Defence informed that the session emphasised on the critical role of water in sustaining life, agriculture and ecosystems.

Students and staff were sensitised on practical methods such as rainwater harvesting, reducing daily water wastage and embracing water-efficient habits.

The initiative encouraged over 100 children to adopt a collective mind-set towards preserving water resources, recognising that individual actions contribute to long-term environmental sustainability, it said.
