CRPF's civic action programme fosters trust, goodwill

As part of its continuous efforts to strengthen relations between the Force and the local population, 158 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a Civic Action Programme at Leilon Vaiphei, Kangpokpi district under the aegis of the Manipur Nagaland Sector on Wednesday.
The programme was attended by Sanjay Negi, Commandant, 158 Battalion CRPF; Achla Ram, Second-in-Command, Officer Commanding D/158 Battalion, village secretary, village Chief, and locals of the area.
As per a release issued by CRPF, the event was aimed at fostering goodwill, promoting mutual trust, and extending developmental support to the local community.
At the event, Sanjay Negi highlighted the importance of community cooperation in maintaining peace and harmony.
He also reiterated CRPF's commitment to supporting the socio-economic development of people living in remote and sensitive areas.
As part of the programme, 12 pigs and mushroom cultivation items were also provided to needy villagers during the programme.
CRPF will also be conducting a two-day training on mushroom cultivation and pig farming for the villagers.
169 Battalion
As part of the Civic Action Programme, 169 Battalion, CRPF on Wednesday inaugurated a Computer Training Programme for students in the remote area of Kangchup-Chinghong Kadangband-II with the aim to bridge the digital divide by equipping participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to thrive in today's technology driven world.
The opening ceremony held at Don Bosco School, Phayeng village, was graced by Suresh Kumar, Commandant 169 Battalion CRPF; Ksh Shivakanta Singh, Superintendent of Police, Imphal West; Md Yasser Abbasi, 2-1/C, 169 Battalion CRPF; Annamma, Deputy Commandant, 169 Battalion CRPF; and Jawed Hussain, A/C, 169 Battalion CRPF among others.
A total of 20 students from the area are participating in the month-long computer training programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Ksh Shivakanta said, "This programme will offer a comprehensive curriculum covering basic computer operations and software application" .
"Participants will receive hands-on training to build confidence and proficiency in using technology for professional use and future career prospects", he added.
Local community leaders and parents expressed their appreciation for the CRPF's efforts in organising this skillbuilding programme, acknowledging its role in motivating youth towards constructive and productive avenues.
69 Battalion
As part of its ongoing Civic Action Programme, 69 Battalion CRPF, Mantripukhri under the aegis of Manipur and Nagaland Sector, CRPF on Wednesday provided tin roofing sheets to Lainingthou Khunjaoba Mamomloi Chaokhat Thourang Lup.
The initiative aimed to provide infrastructural support to the Lup's ongoing construction of "Sanglen" for multipurpose use by the local society.
At the event, Huidrom Premjit Meetei, DIG, Imphal Range CRPF and S A Rojan Zimik, Commandant, 69 Battalion CRPF highlighted the important role played by the CRPF in maintaining law & order in the region.
Representatives of the Lup expressed their appreciation to the CRPF's support which will significantly aid the effort to complete the construction work of the multipurpose 'Sanglen' .
