Senapati, June 11 2025:
Following state government's failure to respond within the 48-hour ultimatum the association served on June 4 demanding transfer of district SP and additional SP (LO), Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) declared non-cooperation movement against the two police officers.
Issuing a public directive on Wednesday, the SDSA said the non-cooperation movement will be effective immediately and appealed to CSOs, stakeholders and public to refrain from any engagement, cooperation or correspondence with the two officers.
It said that the decision has been necessitated due to the officers' unprofessional conducts and mishandling of a peaceful democratic agitation as well as government's indifference to legitimate public concerns.
The SDSA also said it shall not be held responsible for any breakdown of law and order or any threat to public safety resulting from the continued service of the two officers in the district.
The directive shall remain in force until due action is taken and the officers relieved from their present posts, SDSA said.
