DC commits to supporting IDPs

Churachandpur, April 03 2025: Deputy commissioner Dharun Kumar reaffirmed his commitment to supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) residing in relief camps beyond the district headquarters.

As part of the ongoing humanitarian efforts, the deputy commissioner visited multiple camps in Sangaikot and Saikot Blocks, engaging directly with displaced individuals to assess their concerns and needs.

During his visit, Dharun Kumar attentively listened to the grievances of the IDPs and assured them of timely assistance.

He urged residents to maintain confidence in the district administration and security forces while emphasising the importance of cooperation in preserving law and order in the region.

In addition to inspecting relief camps, the deputy commissioner visited villages, schools, and healthcare centres within the affected blocks.

He interacted with students and staff to ensure the continued availability of essential services.

Dharun Kumar was accompanied by Ihangboi Gangte (ADC), Lalthazam (CEO), district-level officers, and other staff members during the inspection.

Under Dharun Kumar's leadership, the district administration remains committed to providing sustained support.

Plans are underway to extend visits to the remaining relief camps in the coming days.
