The training was led by distinguished professionals from the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), including Dr Bankim Chandra Thokchom, First Aid Master Trainer, and Ng Paris, First Aid Trainer.
The curriculum focused on a range of vital skills, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), emergency response protocols, trauma management, bleeding control, fracture stabilisation, and immediate medical intervention.
The programme combined structured theoretical instruction with practical demonstrations, real-time simulations, and hands-on exercises to ensure operational readiness.
The initiative, organised under the flagship of the Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), is part of an ongoing commitment to skill development and employment generation for the unemployed youth of Manipur.
Rajkumar Babloo Singh, director of Homeland Security, emphasized the importance of these skills, stating, "We believe that a security professional is not merely deployed to guard premises, but entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding lives.
First Aid and CPR competencies are fundamental requirements in modem security services" .
