Imphal, June 18 2025: The Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan campaign has been launched on Wednesday at Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Chingmeirong, here, as a part of commemorating Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan is India's largest initiative for tribal empowerment being disseminated through intense Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign under the aegis of Ministry of Tribal Affairs to enhance awareness and ensure saturation of benefits under various central schemes among tribal communities.

Highlighting the various welfare initiatives of the Government of India, speakers highlighted that the government has taken in two critical and transformative national missions to empower tribal communities - the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM JANMAN) and Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), both the flagship initiatives aiming to saturate services and infrastructure in tribal areas across the country through a convergence-based, mission-mode approach.

They also elaborated on the vision and mission targets of PM JANMAN and DAJGUA, and progress of both initiatives in the state.

The launch event was participated by tribal achievers including Padmashree Guru Rewben Mashangva, James Ria-mei, Ashok Veilou and Phapha Gachui nominated as lead social influencers for the IEC Campaign.

Eighty college-going girls from ST communities staying in Adimjati Hostel and staff and officials of Adimjati Shik-sha Ashram Imphal also took the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan pledge along with the staff and officials of Tribal Affairs and Hills Department.

The nationwide campaign will culminate on June 30.Various awareness and benefit saturation camps as part of IEC campaign are being organised by the district administrations in 13 districts in the state covered by PM JANMAN) and DAJGUA schemes.

SENAPATI: In continuation of the IEC campaign of DAJGUA in Senapati district, stalls of various departments and institutions were set up at the DRDA Hall, Paomata Centre on Wednesday to deliver public services and resolve grievances on the spot.

The beneficiary welfare schemes included Aadhaar Cards, Ration Cards, new LPG connections, Ayushman Bharat Cards (PMJAY), tribe certificates, domicile certificates, farmer cards, PM KISAN, social security schemes (Old Age Pension, Widow Pension), livelihood schemes (MGNREGA, PM Vishwakarma, Mudra Loans), and women and child welfare schemes (PMMVY, ICDS benefits, immunisation).

The Medical Department also conducted free medical check-ups for non-communicable diseases and provided medicines, while dignitaries present handed over three Widow Pension certificates, 12 Disabled Cards (CMST), and four Disabled Manipur State Transport (MSTj cards under the Social Welfare Department.

Over 1,000 people from Paomata sub-division attended the campaign designed to ensure coverage of every tribal household for awareness and access to their rightful entitlements under PM DAJGUA.

The IEC Campaign in the district will continue at Lairouching-Maram Centre, Song Song-Kalinamai community hall, Chilivai Phaibung-Lakhamai, Willong-Willong Lakhamai, and Purul-SDO Office, Purul in the coming days.

PHERZAWL: On the fourth day of the ongoing DAJGUA campaign in Pherzawl, the district administration organised service delivery camps in Suangsang, Parbung, and Patpuihmun villages.

The outreach camps provided easy access to essential services, including tribe and domicile certificates, banking services, Aadhaar updates, affidavit assistance, LPG connections, and PM-KI-SAN enrolment - all under one roof.

By the end of the campaign on June 30, the initiative aims to benefit over 4,000 tribal households across 22 identified villages.

CHURACHANDPUR: The "Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) - IEC and Benefit Saturation" camp for Lamka Block was held on Wednesday at the Sub-Divisional Office, Churachandpur.

Various departments joined the campaign and set up stalls, showcasing their schemes while providing on-the-spot delivery of services and entitlements to beneficiaries.

The MediCal Department conducted free medical check-ups and distributed medicines based on patients' diagnosed conditions during the event.

The DAJGUA campaign achieved notable milestones, including 15 Aadhaar card updates, six new Aadhaar card applications, four IDP card issuances, 106 ration card updates, and the enrolment of seven beneficiaries under the Vandhan Yojana.

Ahead of the next village/cluster-level camps under the DAJGUA campaign for Churachandpur sub-division on June 26 and 30, residents have been urged to participate and avail themselves of the various government services and benefits.
