In the present context of Manipur, there is more teaching than learning and accordingly an organisation unwilling to learn from the people would extinct in near future, he said.

Organisations working for the society need to function as per pulse of the people and coordinate with the masses before taking up any activity or else such organisations will not survive for long, he said.

The word narco-terrorism is very much common among the people of Manipur nowadays and even young children are now aware of this word.
However, none of the politicians or political parties ever mention about narco-terrorism when they head out of the state.
While asserting that collective understanding and united fight are essential for tackling the existing problems in the state, professor Chinglen Maisnam also noted that following the interim Union Budget presented in the Parhament recently the state too will definitely come up with its budget.

People talk about warfare and never mention about welfare nowadays in Manipur.
However, it is the reality that economy of the state had worsened and almost all livelihood means for the people are defunct now.
Amidst frail economy, prices of goods particularly essential commodities have skyrocketed thereby compounding suffering of the people, he maintained and expressed fear of increase in flesh trade for survival.
Professor Chinglen Maisnam expressed regret that there are many people in Manipur who love the motherland very much but never look into suffering of the people.

Any person who loves and helps the poor will surely have patriotic spirit and love the motherland, he added.
