Easter Sunday was celebrated with great joy and spiritual fervour across churches in the Longmai area under Noney District on April 5, 2026, under the theme "Christ is risen!", while the Assam Rifles also marked the occasion across several locations in Manipur, fostering unity and community bonding.
The occasion commemorated the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolising the triumph of life over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair.
Church leaders and speakers across Noney, highlighted the enduring significance of the Resurrection, describing it as a living reality that continues to inspire faith and hope in the modem world.
Speakers during the programme emphasised that despite global challenges such as conflict, uncertainty, and suffering, the message of Easter affirms that no situation is beyond God's power to transform.
They reminded the faithful that just as the stone was rolled away from the tomb, human burdens of fear, sin, and pain can also be overcome through divine grace.
