2-days training of BLOs held at Senapati

Senapati, April 02 2025: The two-days training of Booth Level Officers of 49- Tadubi (ST) AC by National Level Master Trainers begins today on Special Summary Revision for Bye-Election in 49-Tadubi (ST) Constituency at DRDA Conference Hall, Senapati.

Addressing the trainees, S Lunguiba Thangal, MCS, Dy DEO/ERO 47-Karong (ST) AC welcomed the NLMTs and BLOs on behalf of the office of District Election Officer, Senapati.

He exhorted the BLOs to take maximum inputs and apply their knowledge on the upcoming SSR as the Electoral Rolls that will be published thereafter will be used during the upcoming bye-election of 49-Tadubi (ST) AC.

The Resource person of today's training Sh Jayamadhav P, NLMT Karnataka and Harishilpa GR, NLMT Karnataka imparted the BLOs in four sessions on the Constitutional Provision, Roles and Responsibilities, guidelines on detailed information for filling up various forms such as Form 6, 6A, 7 & 8 and other related scenarios along with exercises of filling forms, role play and case studies by forming groups.

During the training, the NLMTs mentioned that Master Trainers from National Level had been appointed for the first time in the country for smooth conduct of elections.

They also said that BLOs as representatives of ECI play an important role at grass- root level in the process of roll revision and collecting actual field information regarding roll corresponding to the polling area being assigned to him/her.

The BLOs were urged to have proper coordination with the Booth Level Agent, preparation of Nazari Naksha and Identification of dead and shifted electors.

Various do's and don'ts by BLOs were also highlighted.

It may be also mentioned that a meeting with representatives of Political Parties was also conducted on Tuesday at the Office of DEO, Senapati regarding the upcoming Bye- Election of 49-Tadubi (ST) AC and Rationalization/ Re-arrangement of Polling Stations.

The programme was attended by S Lunguiba Thangal, MCS, ERO 47-Karong (ST) AC, Ningreingam Leisan, MCS, ERO 48- Mao (ST) AC, Sheveine, MCS, ERO 49-Tadubi (ST) AC, Rang David Kung, MCS, ADM, Senapati, SDOs, DLO's and Election Office staff.
