Alfred, Basantakumar wealthiest Lok Sabha candidates

In the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024, the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency will witness a diverse array of candidates vying for victory.
As per affidavit hied by them, Alfred Kanngam Arthur of the Indian National Congress (INC) is the wealthiest candidate from the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, with a formidable combination of movable and immovable assets.
Alfred Arthur has a wealth portfolio with the movable assets worth Rs 12,01,919 including a Maruti Gypsy.
His spouse also possesses an impressive wealth of Rs 1,50,24,196, including a Nissan Sunny, a TATA Hexa, and a Mahindra Thar, alongside silver and gold weighing 4.6 kg and 2.3 kg respectively.
Additionally, their dependents hold assets worth Rs 20,00,000 in LIC.
In terms of immovable assets, Arthur declared possessions worth Rs 60.21 crore, while his spouse has Rs 3.5 crore.
Following close behind is Kachui Timothy Zimik, representing the Naga People's Front (NPF), with movable assets worth Rs 1,20,54,166, including a Mahindra Bolero Neo and two Mahindra Bolero BS6 SUVs.
His spouse owns assets worth Rs 12,38,104, including a Maruti Suzuki SX4 and gold ornaments weighing 100 grams while their dependent holds assets valued at Rs 6,03,872.On the immovable front, Zimik declared assets worth Rs 3.85 crore, while his spouse's Rs 18,lakh adding to their material value.
In comparison, S Kho John, an independent candidate, has declared a relatively modest assets with movable assets counted at Rs 5,07,400 including a Maruti Eeco Van, while his spouse possesses assets worth Rs 3,22,151 including jewellery weighing 15 grams.
Their immovable assets collectively stand at Rs 23.50 lakh.
Lastly, Alyson Abonmai, also an independent candi date, has declared movable assets worth Rs 13.35 lakh for himself and Rs 8.10 lakh for his spouse.
Their immovable assets stand at Rs 75 lakh.
Meanwhile, affidavits submitted by the six candidates for Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency to the Election Commission of India revealed that BJP candidate Thounaojam Basantakumar is the wealthiest of the six.
According to the affidavit submitted by Basantakumar, his movable assets is around Rs 73,59,079.19 and that of his wife is Rs 78,02,545.51.On top of the money in his bank accounts, he has four vehicles, two 'Tula' of Gold, while that of his wife is 12 Tula of Gold, two vehicles and other money in bank accounts.
Th Basanta's immovable assets including properties of around Rs 2,31,06,300 and that of his wife around Rs 1,43,78,450.INC candidate Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam's affidavit stated his movable assets to around Rs 68,59,594.21.In addition to the money in his bank accounts, he has one two-wheeler and a four-wheeler along with 10 gm of gold.
His wife has around Rs 3,11,961.71 and on top of the money in the bank accounts, she has around 40gm of gold.
Bimol has no immovable asset compared to wife's worth around Rs 25,96,000.RPI-A candidate Maheshwar Thounaojam has around Rs 13,26,719.42 in movable assets, while his wife has around Rs 11,28,570.76.Apart from the money in bank accounts and other assets, Maheshwar is the only candidate with a gun license.
His affidavit showed no immovable asset under his or his wife's name.
Independent candidate RK Somendro Singh alias Kaiku's affidavit showed that he has around Rs 25,07,842.39 in movable assets.
On top of two vehicles, gold and money in bank accounts, he has around Rs 13,00,000 in immovable assets while his wife has around Rs3,94,000 in movable assets.
RJSP candidate Moirangthem Totomshana Nongshaba stated in his affidavit that he has no movable or immovable asset.
Independent candidate Haorungbam Sarat Singh stated in his affidavit that he has around Rs 2,77,829.4 in movable asset and Rs 6,70,000 in immovable asset.
