Berean Lodge, Dewlahland mistreats customers

Imphal,November 26, 2012: A Journalist and his friend have to bear the brunt of 'untrained manager' of Berean Lodge at Dewlahland after their room was found rented out to other customers and have to struggle for accomodation on Monday night.

This evening when Hueiyen Lanpao reporter Pamreiso Shimray and TMNL deputy speaker R.Akhui returned to their Room No.22 at Berean Lodge at about 7pm, the manager at the reception bluntly informed them saying the room has been given to others and their belongings removed.

On being asked the reason, the manager replied that the room was booked in advance but he remained silent when asked why they were not informed earlier about it.

The manager did not even bother to apologise while simply asking the aggrieved party to adjust somewhere.

The incident testifies height of unprofessional on the part of Berean Lodge management, which is being run by Ukhrul AC MLA Samuel Risom.

"If this is the manner they treat their customers, they are not fit to run a hospitality service," fumed Akhui.

He also added that the hotel management should properly supervise and do away with untrained and unprofessional staff.

The aggrieved journalist and his friend have to struggle for the night stay on Monday.
