MU takes centre stage at Singapore event

SIIC V Conference on Future Innovation and Sustainable Development for Asian Countries was organised in Singapore from January 31 to February 3 by Shri Aurobindo Yoga and Knowledge Foundation (SAYKF), India with Manipur University (MU) as its knowledge partner.
In a release, MU PRO in-charge Punsiba Toijam informed that the event hosted by Singapore Management University (SMU) began with a two-day sustainable tour programme from, highlighting Singapore's impressive sustainable practices and initiatives.
On February 3, the international conference unfolded with fervour, featuring esteemed speakers and researchers from around the globe.
MU registrar professor W Chandbabu Singh led the discourse as the lead speaker, sharing valuable perspectives on sustainable development and innovation and also discussed the collaborative efforts of Sustainable India and prestigious institutions of Asia.
School of Human and Environmental Sciences dean professor S Jibon Kumar, contributed as a guest speaker, enriching the discussions with his expertise in the held.
SIIC V programme coordinator professor Laishram Thambal Singh, played a pivotal role in orchestrating the event s success, ensuring seamless coordination among participants and stakeholders, it conveyed.
MU also mentioned that a myriad of topics related to sustainable development and innovation in Asian countries were covered in the presentation of 22 papers, which was participated by 15 online presenters and 10 associates.
MU delegation, consisting of 30 members, actively participated in the conference, bringing their insights and experiences regarding sustainable initiatives and programmes in Singapore.
Additionally, they also had the opportunity to further expand their knowledge by visiting Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on February 4 and 5 and learning about sustainable practices in the region, it added.
