Dr Bimol also referred to the earlier cases of Linthoingambi and Hemanjit, two young persons who disappeared during the ongoing crisis in the same area.
He expressed deep concern that such incidents continue even under President's Rule, questioning the government's commitment to ensuring public safety.
Stressing that the protection of life is the bounden duty of the state, he urged both the House and the union home minister to take immediate notice of Mukesh's case and address the growing issue of disappearances in Manipur.
