Ashengba Iral selected for GIFC 2025

Imphal, April 02 2025: Kshetrimayum Subadani's "Ashengba Iral" has been officially selected for the fifth season of Goa International Film Competition (GIFC) 2025.The Manipuri feature film is based on a story by Kshetrimayum Subadani and produced by her under the banner of Dosuyali Film Production, Manipur.

The production team has expressed great happiness upon this selection, said a press release issued by Khomdram Dorendro, Chairman, Dosuyali Film Production.

OC Meira was at the helm as director with Manaobi MM writing the screenplay of Ashengba Irai, presented by Leishang (proprietor of Leishna Company) and starring Avi Khundrakpam, Ithoi Oinam, Rashi and Nongthanganbi in prominent roles.

Notably, the film was honoured with the Best Music Director, Best Female Singer and Best Child Artiste awards at the 15th Manipur State Film Awards in 2023 .

Additionally, it also received the prestigious Best Feature Film North East and Best Director awards at the Prag Cine Awards 2023; Jury Mention Award at the 2nd NIRI International Film Festival 2023, Kolkata and Best Editor as well as Best Child Artiste award at the SSS MANIFA 2023.Earlier works of producer Ksh Subadani include Manipuri feature films Leikhamton, Icheton, short film Tingkhang Satpa, Leiyisingi Wangmada and Lockdown.
