District Hospital Thoubal treated 1,15,568 OPD patients in 2024: DC Thoubal

Thoubal, March 25 2025: Setting a new record of being able to treat the highest number of patients in a year, District Hospital Thoubal has able to treat a record number of 1,15,568 OPD patients in the year 2024 said Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, Ahanthem Subhash.

This statement was made by DC Thoubal, Ahanthem Subhash in the annual meeting of District Hospital Management Society, Thoubal held at the Conference Hall of DC Thoubal.

Ahanthem Subhash stated that even though there were several hindrances due to the law and order situation in the district, the dedication and commitment of the doctors, nurses and staff of District Hospital Thoubal has made it possible to treat a record number of OPD patients in the year 2024 .

The Hospital has also treated a total number of 44,499 Emergency patients, 2,926 in ward patients and 296 patients in ICU, said Subhash.

The introduction of new equipments like Endoscopy and other equipments for ENT Department, addition of a new block at Eye Department, addition of Viral Laboratory, inaugural of District Early Intervention Centre and the addition of 3 dialysis unit for kidney patients were also some of the achievements accomplished by the District Hospital Thoubal in the year 2024, stated Ahanthem Subhash.

Urging the people to be aware of fraudsters when visiting the District Hospital, the DC appeals to the people to keep faith and belief in the hospital.

The meeting was also attended by Chief Medical Officer Thoubal, Dr Y Nokul, District Hospital Thoubal, Superintendent Dr W Ruhinikumar, doctors, nurses, staff and other important representatives of the society.
