Mass Anti-Rabies Vaccination Programme conducted

Imphal, April 24 2025: A Mass Anti-Rabies Vaccination Programme was conducted under the aegis of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) at the premises of Peaceful Club Khurai today.

The programme was organised by Peaceful Club Khurai in collaboration with Veterinary Office Imphal East.

AMUC executive member M Premjit, SUCO general secretary Th Premananda and other members of SUCO were present at the event.

Speaking on the occasion, M Premjit said that the programme was conducted in order to curb the spread of rabies among domesticated animals like cats and dogs.

Highlighting that AMUCO in collaboration with its affiliate clubs have been conducting vaccination programmes across the State, he appealed to the people to take advantage of such programmes and get their cats and dogs vaccinated.

Around 150 cats and dogs received anti-rabies vaccine during the programme.

Similarly, the Energetic Youths' Development Organisation (EYDO), Samurou Keithel also organised a 1-Day Anti-Rabies Vaccination Programme at Samurou Keithel today.

The programme was conducted under the aegis of AMUCO and the Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Government of Manipur.

About 150 cats and dogs were vaccinated during the programme.
