Awareness programme on ''Natural Farming'' held at Bishnupur

Imphal, April 28 2025: A one-day awareness programme on "National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF)" was held today at Upokpi Maning Malleibi Loukol, Bishnupur district organised by the All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO)in collaboration with United Clubs' Organisation of Bishnupur District (UCOBID) .

The awareness programme conducted under the aegis of Agriculture Department, Manipur was participated by farmers from Ningthoukhong, Upokpi and Toupokpi.

At the event, Agriculture Department Nodal Officer, Ahanthem Ronel emphasized the importance of natural farming method to the farmers to increase the productivity of indigenous crops.

He also highlighted the role of farmers and the benefits that can be availed by the fanners for sustainable agriculture.

The programme was also attended by AMUCO Secretary Organisation, Laishram Krishnachandra, United Clubs' Organisation of Bishnupur, president Wahengbam Basanta.

A committee was also set up during the programme, to ensure effective implementation of natural farming in the district.
