NMBA awareness for Anganwadi workers held

Kakching, April 26 2025:
The district administration of Kakching in association with the district social welfare office organised a training programme on substance use prevention for Anganwadi workers as part of the District Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) Action Plan (Drug Free India Campaign) at DC Office Complex, Kakching on Saturday.
Asian Youth Leader, Colombo Plan, Nutan Nongthombam, and district social welfare officer Nikita Thangjam attended the programme as resource persons.
The programme aimed to raise awareness among the Anganwadi workers about the ill effects of drug abuse and the importance of living a drug-free life.

The aim of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan is to create awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse among the youth, women, and children with special focus on higher education institutes, university campuses, schools, and reaching out into the community and garnering community involvement and ownership of the campaign.
