Training programmes on Navchetna, RK-LSJSP organised

A three-day cascading training of Capacity Building Commission's Rashtriya Karmayogi - Large Scale Jan Seva Programme (RK-LSJSP) commenced today at the Court Hall of Manipur University (MU), Canchipur.
The training programme was conducted with the aim to bring behavioural and transformative change among the officials of the Manipur University, creating a positive impact on governance.
The inaugural function was graced by Prof N Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor, MU; Anisul Alam, Assistant Registrar (senior scale); Toijam Punsiba, Nodal Officer, IGOT Karmayogi, MU; and Prof Irengbam Tilokchan, faculty, Computer Science Department as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Lokendra highlighted the programme's mission in nation building, emphasizing the need for upskilling Central Government employees, instilling the essence of service (Seva Bhaav) and purpose among the employees, and bringing transformative change in the day-to-day work.
Toijam Punsiba underscored the significance of the training programme in fostering collective effort of employees, streamlining smooth service and governance of the university.
Certified Master Trainers Anisul Alam and Prof Irengbam Tilokchan earlier received their trainings from Lead Trainers under RK-LSJSP as Rashtriya Karmayogi facilitators, taking further responsibility in training officials within the university, ensuring service-oriented and citizen-centric governance.
The three-day cascading training programme will have batches of 30-35 officials.
About 500 employees of the varsity are expected to benefit from the training programme.
Notably, the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme is a large-scale behavioural training programme implemented by the Capacity Building Commission for Central Government employees.
It aims to instil a spirit of public service and a sense of purpose and satisfaction in day-to-day-work.
Meanwhile, a three-day training programme on "Navchetna: A New consciousness on Life Skills and Drug Education for School Children Teacher Trainers" began today at the Multipurpose Hall of SCERT Manipur in Imphal.
The training programme was organised by SCERT Manipur in collaboration with Social Welfare Department under the aegis of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India and Society for the Protection of Youths and Masses, (SPYM), New Delhi.
The inaugural function was graced by dignitaries, including A Romel Singh, Director, SCERT, Manipur; Kh Ashokkumar Singh, Joint Director, SCERT; Subir Banarjee, expert, SPYM, New Delhi; Dr Jayanta Kumar Singh and Dr Basanta Singh from Galaxy Club, Singjamei, Chingamathak.
About 35 school teachers from different districts of Manipur are participating in the three days training programme.
