TNAL seeks immediate attention

Imphal, April 16 2025: The Tangkhul Naga Aze Longphang (TNAL) has sought immediate attention of the Govemment and authorities concerned into the construction of a steel truss bridge over Maklang river which was sanctioned under the RIDF scheme on December 14, 2022.The bridge located between Kangpat Khullen and Kangkum village is a vital link for villagers of Kasom Khullen sub-division and Kamjong district HQs, said the TNAL in a statement Being a vital bridge, the TNAL said it wants a well experienced and qualified contractor to handle the construction of the bridge.

The construction should be done using high quality materials, maintaining standard quality, said the TNAL.

Stating that it will monitor the construction work to ensure adherence to CPWD & PWD guidelines, the TNAL cautioned that the contractors concerned will be held responsible if the construction doesn't meet the required standard.

It also urged the relevant authorities to complete the bridge at the earliest in the interest of the people.
