Special Campaign 5.0 wraps up

The Organizing Committee of the Swachhata Action Plan 2025-26/Kayakalp, RIMS, Imphal, organized the closing function of the Special Campaign 5.0 today at the General OPD Complex, RIMS, Imphal.
According to a press release, Professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, RIMS, Imphal, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Professor N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Imphal, presided over the function as president, and Professor Y Govindaraj Singh, Nodal Officer, Swachhata Action Plan 2025-26/Kayakalp, attended as the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma stated that the Special Campaign 5.0 at RIMS, Imphal, saw active participation from all departments.
Launched on October 2 under the "Clean India, Healthy India" vision, it focused on cleanliness, grievance redressal, and e-waste disposal.
Under Professor Y Govindaraj Singh's leadership, RIMS exceeded targets, collecting over 3,000 kg of e-waste and improving campus hygiene.
The Director also praised the teamwork and urged everyone to continue the spirit towards Special Campaign 6.0 in 2026 .
The event included the distribution of prizes and certificates to the winners in various categories under the Special Campaign 5.0, recognizing their contributions towards promoting cleanliness and environmental responsibility within the institute.
Jury members of the Special Campaign 5.0 Photography Contest 2025 were also honoured, along with members of the Manipur Photography Club, Imphal, and Freefly Manipur, for their support and participation in documenting the campaign's initiatives.
Furthermore, the panelists and moderator of the panel discussion on "E-Waste: The Hidden Threat to Our Environment" were felicitated for their insightful contributions in raising awareness on environmental sustainability.
Separately, as part of the Special Campaign 5.0 which concludes today, the Food Corporation of India, Manipur Region conducted cleanliness drives in FCI offices and depots across Manipur from October 2 to 31.Reaffirming the National commitment to cleanliness, redundant scrap materials and obsolete items were removed during the cleanliness drives to enhance efficiency and aesthetics of the workplace, said a press release.
During the campaign, physical files/records were managed through weeding out old files, digitizing records and reviewing and closing obsolete files.
