Assam Rifles extends medical assistance to accident victim

Senapati, April 30 2024: Assam Rifles provided medical assistance to an accident victim who was the co-driver of the truck that met with an accident near the Chakumei bridge in Senapati district.

The driver lost control of the truck near the bridge, resulting in his unfortunate demise on the spot while the co-driver sustained severe injuries after falling out of the vehicle during the accident, said a statement by the Assam Rifles.

Assam Rifles responded quickly to save the life of the injured co-driver.

He was immediately transported to the nearest Assam Rifles Unit Hospital at Maram where he received emergency medical assistance under the expert guidance of the unit's Regimental Medical Officer and his team.

The timely intervention and skilled care provided by the medical team played a crucial role in stabilizing the injured individual.

Post the initial medical aid, the co-driver was swiftly transferred by ambulance to the District Hospital, Senapati for further medical care and specialized treatment.
