CCpur JAC lines up schedule

The Joint Action Committee Against Anti-Tribal Bills (JAC) has announced that the dharna schedule will start from June 9 at Salpha Pumbuuk, Hiangtam, and the detailed schedule will be intimated to the entrusted organisations at the earliest.
In a statement issued to the media today, the JAC said that the decision to start the dharna schedule was taken during a meeting held today at KKL, Complex, IB Road, Churachandpur with the new representations delegated by the various Innpis/tribe councils.
Other than the dharna schedule, it was also decided to impose a 12 hour total shutdown on June 26 from 6 am to 6 pm in all tribal territories to mark the 300th day of protest and mourning.
All tribal Churches in Manipur and fellowships across the world will be requested to observe it as a world wide mourning day, said the JAC.
At Churachandpur, the Christian Goodwill Council shall be entrusted with the task of making all arrangements.
The proposed public awareness campaign at Parbung will be held on a date specified by the Hmar Inpui, said the JAC and added that the Inpui has been entrusted with making all the arrangements.
The JAC will also meet all the village chiefs-United Chiefs Council, Kuki Chiefs Association, Zomi Chiefs Association-at 11 am on June 10 at KKL complex, Churachandpur.
All tribal households in Manipur will be requested to flay a black flag as a sign of protest and mourning and the same will not be taken down until the issue is resolved.
The families of the 'tribal martyrs' and chiefs will also be consulted and arrangements made for their participation in the protest at Delhi to mark the 300th day of collective mourning, added the JAC.
Moreover under the JAC, three task cells have been constituted.
The task cells are fund raising cell, motivation and monitoring cell and transport cell.
