Training cum production held

Thoubal, March 28 2025: Association for Paona Memorial Arts and Rural Development Services (APMARDS) under Chief Ministergi Artiste-singgi Tengbang (CMAT) scheme organised a training cum new production on "Thang Leiteng Haibagi Makhalsing" at Communicative English Language Teaching Institute (CELTI) today.

The event was held as part of the two-months training programme of Thang-Ta which is being held at APMARDS Hall, Wangkhem starting from Jan 27, 2025 onwards.

It was attended by HLMTTCA Irilbung, Director Padma Shri Guru K Sanathoiba Sharma, CELTI Thoubal Principal, AK Sanjoy Meitei, Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Academy New Delhi, National Secretary Dr Y Mahendrakumar Singh as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Junior Fellowship holders in the field of Thang-Ta, Yambem Devikarani of Kongba Bazar, Thongam Yaiphaba of Naharup Makhapat, and Senior Fellowship holder Ranjana Kangjam of Moirangkhom Sougaijam Leirak were presented with special gifts and honoured.

The participating trainees of the two-months training program of Thang-Ta were also handed certificates.

Speaking at the occasion, Padma Shri Guru K Sanathoiba Sharma stated that the premier show of "Thang Leiteng Haibagi Makhalsing" was organised to instill in the young minds the rich culture and tradition of Manipur.
