NPP Moirang Block to hold public rally on May 3

Moirang, April 25 2025: The NPP Moirang Block is gearing up to organise a public rally on May 3 labelled "Yelhoumi Kanba Numit", in remembrance of the eruption of violence on May 3, 2023 wherein Kuki narco-terrorists launched an attack on Meitei villagers.

The NPP Moirang Block has appealed to people to take part in the rally which will commence from Moirang Chengei Lampak and culminate at the Office of Moirang AC MLA located at Moirang Philem, to be followed by a public meeting.

Speaking to the media persons during a press meet held at the Office of the MLA, Y Modhu chief advisor of MLA Moirang AC said that the attack on indigenous Meitei community by Kuki narco-terrorists on May 3 stands out as a deeply harrowing and unforgettable day in the history of Manipur.

To remember this sorrowful day, NPP Moirang Block will organise a public rally on May 3 titled "Yelhoumi Kanba Numit", which will be followed by a public meeting to deliberate on safeguarding the rights of indigenous community, protecting the territorial integrity of Manipur, and defence from external aggression.

The press meet was also attended by NPP Moirang block president, Ph Magha, MLA Moirang PA, Mairembam Utamkumar, MLA PRO, Phairembam Shobha, NPP Moirang block executive member, K Achouba and other members.
