Homeland Security successfully conducted an intensive First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training Programme for its 7th batch trainees, reinforcing its commitment to developing highly skilled and responsible security professionals.
The programme, held in Imphal, focused on equipping trainees with critical life-saving competencies.
The training session was conducted by distinguished experts from the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), led by Dr Bankim Chandra Thokchom, First Aid Master Trainer.
The curriculum covered essential skills including CPR, emergency response protocols, trauma management, bleeding control, fracture stabilization, and immediate medical intervention during emergencies.
The programme combined structured theoretical instruction with practical demonstrations, real-time simulations, and hands-on exercises to ensure operational readiness.
These skills are designed to prepare trainees to respond effectively and confidently to emergencies across various environments, including workplaces, healthcare institutions, commercial establishments, and public settings.
Rajkumar Babloo Singh, director of Homeland Security, emphasized the critical role of trained security personnel in modem society.
"At Homeland Security, we firmly believe that a security professional's duty goes far beyond guarding property.
They are often the first responders during emergencies and are entrusted with the responsibility of protecting human lives", Babloo stated.
By integrating certified First Aid and CPR training into its professional development framework, Homeland Security continues to strengthen the competency standards of private security personnel while fostering a culture of preparedness, responsibility, and public service among the youth entering the private security sector.
The collaboration was held under the esteemed flagship of the Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) and with expert guidance from the IRCS .
