77th Republic Day celebrated with grandeur, pride

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour across Manipur on Monday.
Republic Day marks the adoption of India's constitution and the country's transition to a republic on January 26, 1950 .
MASLSA
The Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) celebrated the 77th Republic Day at its office premises located at the ADR Centre, Lamphel Court Complex, Imphal.
Justice A Bimol Singh, Judge, High Court of Manipur and Executive Chairman, MASLSA, unfurled the National Flag in the august presence of Justice A Guneshwar Sharma, Judge, High Court of Manipur.
The ceremony was followed by the salute to the National Flag and the singing of the National Anthem.
The celebration was attended by Alek Muivah, Member Secretary, MASLSA; S Mangaleibi Devi, Additional Member Secretary, MASLSA; Leonid Ahanthem, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Imphal East; N Sofiarani Devi, Secretary, DLSA, Imphal West; along with officers and staff of MASLSA and the DLSAs.
LADCS personnel from Imphal East and Imphal West, Retainer Lawyers, and Para Legal Volunteers of the Front Office, MASLSA and Imphal East, were also present on the occasion.
Moreover, Golmei Gaiphulshilui, Director of Manipur Judicial Academy also unfurled the Indian National Flag at the High Court Complex in Imphal on the occasion of 77th Republic Day.
CAU IMPHAL
Central Agricultural University (CAU) also celebrated the 77th Republic Day with patriotic zeal and fervor at its headquarters in Lamphelpat on Monday.
The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Vice Chancellor Dr Anupam Mishra in the presence of Prof Indira Sarangthem, Director of Instruction; Dr Lalita Mohan Garnayak, Director of Research; Prof Ph Ranjit Sharma, Director of Extension Education; Dr Ng Iboyaima Singh, Dean, College of Food Technology, Lamphelpat; and Prof K Nandini Devi, Dean, College of Agriculture, Iroisemba, CAU, Imphal.
Officers, faculty members, and staff of the university actively participated in the event.
ASSAM RIFLES
The 77th Republic Day was observed by the Assam Rifles across Manipur with patriotic fervour, solemn tributes and wide-ranging community initiatives.
In Imphal West district, Assam Rifles organised a computer and equipment distribution programme at Kanglatongbi under Operation Sadbhavna, benefitting villagers and promoting skill development.
Items worth Rs 8 lakh were distributed to support computer literacy, music and livelihood generation.
The event was attended by 200 civilians, veterans from the All Manipur Gorkha Ex-Servicemen Association (AMGESA), other defence and CAPF associations, along with 34 officials and troops.
In Kakching and Chandel districts, the celebrations featured flag hoisting ceremonies, Tiranga rallies, sports competitions, cultural events and medical camps.
Assam Rifles Public School, Kakching, witnessed participation of 575 attendees, including 470 students, while Pangaltabi village hosted inclusive celebrations with Meira Paibis, youth and children.
In Chandel, villagers enthusiastically joined tug of war, quizzes, painting and drawing competitions.
At Pallel, Machi, Yangoubong and Tengnoupal, the Tricolour was unfurled with solemnity, accompanied by wreath laying and motivational interactions with school children.
Moreh witnessed participation of approximately 385 community members, while Kwatha and Sita villages saw around 100 villagers take part in flag hoisting ceremonies.
In Ukhrul and Kamjong districts, Republic Day was marked with ceremonies and community activities.
The Unit Band performed at Bakshi Ground, Ukhrul, while at Somsai the National Flag was raised with tributes to fallen soldiers, joined by ARPS and NIEDO.
In Kamjong, Republic Day was celebrated at Phaikoh, Aishi, Nampisha and Kamtong.
Flag hoisting at ARPS Kamjong and Senior Higher Secondary School saw 300 elders and 300 children.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and Shangshak commemorations, including wreath laying, cultural displays and sessions at Ramva, reinforced unity.
Assam Rifles officials and troops joined thousands of civilians and veterans across Manipur in the Republic Day celebrations, honouring fallen heroes and strengthening civil-military relations.
The events featured meaningful interactions and community-enriching initiatives, highlighting the enduring spirit of patriotism and unity.
