Eleven senior citizens dedicate their bodies to science

Imphal, April 30 2024: Eleven seniorcitizens from the Old Age Home at Mongshangei Makha Leikai have registered to donate their bodies to medical science after their demise.

Their cadavers will be donated to JNIMS, Porompat to be used in the education of the students, the future medical practitioners.

JNIMS, Porompat and the All Manipur Senior Citizens Welfare Association organised a registration function at the Old Age Home today.

On the occasion, JNIMS Director Laishram Deben stated that donating one's body for science is an honourable and respectable act.

Stating that this will help the students in a significant way, Laishram Deben further added that JNIMS, Porompat will provide medical assistance to senior citizens at the Old Age Home in any way possible.

Old Age Home president S Kunjabihari was also present at the function.
