Raj Medicity's free health, wealth card enrolment camp held at Khangabok

A free health, wealth card enrolment camp of Raj Medicity was organised on Thursday at the Popular Youth Club Community Hall, Khangabok, with the aim of extending affordable healthcare benefits to the public.
The camp was jointly organised by various clubs and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) of Khangabok, including Raising Union Club.
Popular Youth Club, Thabaton Social Welfare Club, Anouba Mangal VLF, Chaokhat Khongthang VLF, Sintha Leima VLF and Ashagi Panthung VLF, in collaboration with Raj Medicity Hospital, North AOC.
The programme was supported by former Khangabok Zilla Parishad member Khundrakpam Rajmohon.
The event was attended by Raj Medicity chairman cum managing director Haobijam Rajen; advisor Maibam Chaoba; manager Oinam Sobha; Khangabok ZP former member Kh Rajmohon; Khangabok Pt-III GP former Pradhan M Manglemjao; Popular Youth Club president S Ibomcha; Thabaton Social Welfare Club secretary Kh Debadutta; Raising Union Club president Kh Bimol; Sintha Leima VLF president Kh Nganbi Devi; Anouba Mangai VLF treasurer Th Bimola Devi and Chaokhat Khongthang VLF president W Geeta Devi, among others as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Raj Medicity Hospital Chairman cum Managing Director Haobijam Rajen said Raj Medicity has been consistently undertaking various public welfare initiatives for a long time.
He noted that the health card enrolment camp at Khangabok was being organised for the fourth time and similar camps have also been conducted at different places across the State, which will continue in the future.
He informed that the health card carries lifetime validity and is available to all sections of society, irrespective of economic status, culture, ethnicity or religion.
The card, he said, will benefit up to six members of a family and offers a 25 percent discount on hospital bills, OPD treatments and diagnostic services at Raj Medicity, while a 15 percent discount will be offered on medicines purchased from the hospital pharmacy.
Rajen further stated that considering the difficulties faced by patients during emergencies due to absence of blood bank at the hospital, steps are now being taken to inaugurate a blood bank on a separate floor.
Once operational, he added, it would significantly ease the hardship faced by the people.
Altogether, around 1,000 people enrolled for the Health Wealth Card during the camp.
