Senapati, April 22 2025: The Office building of All Manipur Drivers & Handyman Welfare Union was inaugurated at Mayangkhang Ningthoupham today by Dharmendra Tyagi, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Senapati district as the chief guest and BK John, Village Chief as the functional chairman respectively.

The aim and objective of the All Manipur Drivers and Handyman Welfare Union includes extending maximum assistance to all the drivers and handyman during any kind of road mishap/accident, providing all necessary help during frequent blockade on the highway, providing water, toilets place and guidance, be vigilant regarding extortion and illegal collection of taxes/kidnapping, etc and informing the same to the local police at the earliest, extending full cooperation to the police, catering to the needs of the truckers and collection of donation from the members for future vision.

The body has been looking forward to construction of proper office/toilets/making available of drinking water/construction of dormitory like hall for lodging, installation/purchase of recovery van, purchase of ambulance and sense of security for the truckers.
