Kabui Union, Manipur
The Kabui Union, Manipur (KUM) issued a scathing press release, strongly condemning the "terrorist crimes" by Chin Kuki Zo individuals and questioning the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister's silence.
"Are the indigenous people of the region not considered citizens of India, or do political elections hold more importance than their lives?" it asked, expressing deep sorrow over the toddlers' killing and their mother's severe injuries.
Labeling the acts "more brutal than war crimes", KUM accused the Government of failing to contain these "terrorists", leading to civilian deaths.
The Union questioned if the BJP Government's alleged strengthening of these groups, after being supported by the previous Congress Government, is a deliberate attempt to erase Manipur's indigenous people and dismantle the State's integrity.
The Union also expressed disapproval of certain organisations in the Senapati district for celebrating the Chief Minister while the public is grieving the deaths of the children and demanding justice.
KUM also spotlighted ongoing Kuki group actions, like blocking National Highways and restricting movement in Ukhrul district, urging recognition of Manipur's dire reality, KUM extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the two children and the four individuals killed in the alleged security forces' firing on protesters.

The Kanglei People's Confederation (KAPECON) has expressed outrage over the Tronglaobi bombing of innocents, branding perpetrators "Kuki addicts", "outsiders", and "individuals lacking humanity" bent on fracturing the State.
In a press release, KAPECON criticized the Central Forces for allegedly shooting and killing three protestors, instead of apprehending the actual murderers.
The organisation noted that despite numerous killings by Kuki militants in various areas, no arrests have been made to date, leading to questions about whether the Indian Government is supporting the killers.
It also slammed the lack of law and order in Kuki-dominated areas, questioned the role of Manipur Police and district administrations, and alleged that the ITLF operates as an agent in Churachandpur.
KAPECON demanded the new Government halt talks with killers, take decisive action, pressure New Delhi to dismantle drug smugglers and armed militants tied to narcotics, and unite all Civil Society Organisations in a long-term movement to halt the violence cycle.
NONGPAL
The Nongpok Pana Apunba Lup (NONGPAL) organised a condolence meeting on Thursday night at the North Eastern Youth Development Organisation (NEYDO) Community Hall in Kongpal Iranpham Thongkhong.

NONGPAL president Laishram Vivekananda addressed the crowd, noting that while the conflict that began on May 3, 2023, seemed to be calming down, the recent violence in Tronglaobi was a tragic turn of events.
He slammed the brutal killing of two innocent children in their sleep as "the most heinous act", demanding the Government immediately arrest the militants and take stem action against CRPF personnel who shot three civilians.
Vivekananda urged the State Government to assert authority, restore peace before more intense public movements erupt, and prevent further tragedy.
