Motivational talk on Marine Geophysical Exploration held

Thoubal, April 03 2025: A motivational talk on "Marine Geophysics Exploration" was held today at the Conference Hall of Waikhom Mani Girls' College (WMGC) organised by the Department of Geology, Waikhom Mani Girls' College.

It was attended by Geophysics Director of Marine and Coastal Survey Division Eastern Region, Dr Lukram Ingocha Meetei as chief guest, Waikhom Mani Girls' College, principal, Professor Hanjabam Manoranjan Sharma as president and WMGC College Geology Dept, HOD Dr Hijam Pusparani Devi as guest of honour.

Speaking at the event attended by the faculty members and students of WMGC, Dr Lukram Ingocha Meetei highlighted the role, functions and the importance of Marine Geophysics and Exploration.

He also elaborated on the facts and findings the Geophysics have acquired from the ocean floor across the globe.

Later, an interactive session between the students and the experts was also held.
