Assam Rifles' National Integration Tour culminates with inspiring interaction at Spear Corps HQs

Imphal, September 22 2025: As the Assam Rifles National Integration Tour (NIT) draws to a close, the delegation from Tengnoupal district, Manipur, marked a significant moment in their journey with an enriching interaction at Headquarters Spear Corps, Dimapur of the Indian Army.

Organised under Operation Sadbhavana, the tour has spanned 15 days of immersive experiences across Shillong, Kolkata, Delhi, and Agra, culminating in this final engagement that reinforced the values of unity, discipline, and national pride.

The 31-member contingent - comprising 26 representatives from Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and five Assam Rifles personnel in support role - was warmly received by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps.

The interaction offered participants a rare opportunity to engage directly with senior leadership and gain insights into the pivotal role of the armed forces in safeguarding national integrity and fostering inclusive development.

The GOC commended the initiative and encouraged the delegates to channel their experiences into constructive contributions within their communities.

The meeting in Dimapur served as a fitting conclusion to a tour that has consistently highlighted the emotional and cultural dimensions of integration.

From their engagements with the President of India and the Chief of Army Staff in Delhi to explorations of heritage sites in Shillong, Kolkata, Delhi and Agra, the participants have been exposed to the diverse narratives that shape India's pluralistic identity.

Each leg of the journey has been carefully curated to deepen civic awareness and strengthen the bonds between the Northeast and the rest of the nation.

On their return journey, the delegation made a brief halt in Kohima, where they explored the region's historical and cultural landmarks.

This final excursion added a reflective note to the tour, allowing participants to appreciate the legacy of resilience and unity embedded in the region's past.

The interaction at Dimapur was attended by approximately 60 officials and troops, who joined the delegation in reaffirming Assam Rifles' enduring commitment to peace, integration, and civic renewal.

As the team prepares to return to Tengnoupal, the tour stands as a testament to the transformative power of shared experiences and the unwavering spirit of national unity.
