Manipur Rural Bank launches internet banking services to empower rural customers

Imphal, April 21 2025: In a landmark step towards digital empowerment and financial inclusion, Manipur Rural Bank has launched its Internet Banking Services, bringing convenient, secure, and accessible banking to customers across rural and semi-urban areas of Manipur.

With this launch, customers of Manipur Rural Bank can now manage their accounts online, transfer funds, pay bills, access account statements, and perform a wide range of banking services from the comfort of their homes, anytime and anywhere, said a release issued by Manipur Rural Bank.

Speaking on the occasion, Abhay Kumar, Chairman of Manipur Rural Bank, said "This is a significant milestone for our bank and for the people of Manipur.

Internet Banking will empower our customers with greater control over their finances while bridging the digital divide in rural banking.

The service is designed with a user-friendly interface and enhanced security protocols to ensure safe online transactions.

Manipur Rural Bank has also initiated customer awareness campaigns and training sessions to help first-time users get comfortable with the new platform.

Key Features of Manipur Rural Bank's internet banking are - Real-time balance enquiry and mini statements; Fund transfers within and outside the bank; Utility and bill payments; Request services (cheque book, account statement, etc); and 24x7 account access with robust security.
