ZUF to flush out NSCN-IM cadres

Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZUF) has announced that it will flush out NSCN-IM cadres from all Zeliangrong areas claiming that it has become intolerable to see the lies and deceit of the NSCN-IM for the past many years.
A press release issued by the secretary information and publicity of ZUF informed that a gun fight took place between ZUF and NSCN-IM at Khumji-II (Lukhambi), near Longmai village (Noney) on August 7, in which a former NSCN-K cadre (who defected to NSCN-IM), identified as Gaibungpou alias Abung Rajo Peyu, was killed.
It alleged that NSCN-IM cadres who are stationed in the village have been creating lots of problem and causing insecurity to the people.
The Hebron camp had deputed a Special Task Force (STF) numbering around 40 cadres to assist the already stationed cadres in carrying out antisocial activities in Zeliangrong areas, it alleged and added that they have been involved in extorting huge amount of money from different companies and agencies that are executing mega projects, imposing a huge amount of illegal tax on the vehicles plying on National Highway 37 and collecting taxes from the people in the name of the Naga political movement.
It alleged that the money collected in the name of the Naga movement, were instead being used in the construction of multiple luxurious buildings, buying large amount of lands in different cities of the country, purchasing costly and luxurious vehicles etc.
This culture of lies and deceiving the innocent people by NSCN-IM has been going on for many years now and as such, ZUF has decided to flush out NSCN-IM cadres from Zeliangrong areas, it added.
ZUF conveyed that the old habit and unpopular tactics of NSCN-IM accusing ZUF of colluding with Indian security forces, particularly Assam Rifles, as to cover their defeat and weaknesses is well known by the public.
The baseless allegation by NSCN-IM that UNLF supplies AK-47 rifles to ZUF or the fabricated story of signing of MoU, shows their complete desperation, ZUF claimed and added that NSCN-IM has been misusing the Naga political movement for their own conveniences and selfish gains.
They now stand exposed as tjiere are no signs for any solution even after negotiating for more than 20 years.
ZUF further urged all Zeliangrong cadres who serve in NSCN-IM by mistake to quit and return so as to avoid any kind of confrontation among the Zeliangrong brothers.
It continued that the NSCN-IM leaderships deputing Zeliangrongs to fight Zeliangrongs is despicable and such policy of NSCN-IM is nothing but a desperate effort to sow seeds of distrust among the Zeliangrong people, which will be a futile exercise.
The NSCN-IM leadership depute non Zeliangrongs and other select people to gather money from various sources but at the time of confrontation and fighting, the NSCN-IM leadership depute Zeliangrong cadres, it alleged.
It added that ZUF is deeply saddened by the loss of precious lives of the Zeliangrong people due to the divisive policy of NSCN-IM and mentioned that it is not too late for all to realise the deceit of NSCN-IM.
