'Viksit Bharat @2047' Special Outreach Programme held

The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office, Imphal, in collaboration with Kamakhya Pemton College, Hiyangthang, organised a Special Outreach Programme on 'Viksit Bharat @2047' today at the college premises.
The programme was graced by Prof Ganga Prasad Parsain, Vice Chancellor of Manipur University, as the chief guest, while Dr Wahengbam Nimai Singh, Principal of Kamakhya Pemton College, presided over the function.
Prof Chinglen Maisnam, Head, Department of South East Asian Studies, Manipur University, attended as the resource person.
Delivering the keynote address, Prof Chinglen provided a comprehensive overview of the national vision for Viksit Bharat @2047.He highlighted that India is projected to become a USD 30 trillion economy by the centenary year of its independence.
He emphasized that this ambitious roadmap is anchored on four foundational demographic pillars identified by Prime Minister Narendra Modi: Yuva (Youth), Garib (The Poor), Mahila (Women), and Kisan (Farmers).
Prof Chinglen also extended a warm welcome to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who participated in the event Prof Ganga Prasad stressed the critical timing of such awareness initiatives as India actively transitions into a developed superpower.
He noted that achieving all-round development requires capitalizing on Manipur's immense inherent potential.
"To compete on an international stage, we must aggressively strengthen our foundational school education and higher education frameworks", he said.
Prof Ganga Prasad also advocated for robust multimodal connectivity across roadways, railways, and waterways, alongside modernization of the agricultural sector.
Urging the student community to shift from being "job seekers to job givers," he called for a massive cultural push toward cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset among the youth.
H Deepakkumar Sharma, Field Exhibition Officer (FEO), CBC, RO Imphal, shared a detailed account of the public grassroots outreach campaigns and developmental communication programmes spearheaded by the Bureau over the past years.
As part of the event, a lively spot quiz competition was organised for students, with attractive prizes distributed to the winners.
The outreach programme concluded with vibrant cultural presentations by the Departmental Troupes and Private Registered Troupes.
