Annual conference of Patsoi and Uripok Local Council, MSC/CPI conducted

Patsoi and Uripok Local Council of the Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India (MSC/CPI) conducted their respective 42nd and 44th conference.
The 42nd conference of Patsoi Local Council was held at Sagolband Khamnam Bazar Soyam Leirak Community Hall, according to a press release issued by Y Sanajaoba Singh, secretary, Patsoi Local, CPI .
The conference was attended by Soyam Inao Singh, L Thoiren Singh, Nongthombam Singhajit Singh, L Sotinkumar Singh, L Joykumar Singh, Ayekpam Iboton Singh, L Sumatibala Devi and Pheiroijam Irabot as presidium members.
At the event, Y Sanajaoba Singh was appointed as the new secretary of patsoi Local Council, Mayanglambam Uttamkumar as assistant secretary and Thongram Nodit as treasurer.
The annual conference resolved to demand i) swift repair of NH-37 from Patsoi to Oriental College Gate and upgradation of Khamnam Bazar Primary Health Sub-Centre and Community Health Centre ii) conduct census and implementation of NRC before any delimitation exercise and iii) creation of peace committee for both Meitei and Kuki communities to facilitate the rehabilitation of displaced folks to their original homes.
Meanwhile, Uripok Local Council of MSC/CPI conducted its 44th annual conference at the residence of Thangjam Robindro at Uripok Achom Leikai yesterday.
The conference was attended by veteran comrade Th Nandakishore; former State secretary L Sotinkumar and ICDC secretary Kh Brojen as the presidium members.
The event kicked off with the hoisting of the CPI flag and offering a floral tribute to Hijam Irabot.
The conference passed seven resolutions, including, opposing the delimitation exercise, ending the conflict, free movement along the two National Highways, and improving the economic condition of the State, among others.
