Representatives of Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Pasighat Campus held a press briefing at Manipur Press Club today to inform the local populace in Manipur about the opportunities provided by RRU Pasighat campus and the available scope and opportunities fpr North East states.
Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) is a National Security and Police University of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
At the press conference, Avinash Kharel, Director I/C, RRU, Pasighat campus and Dr M Sanjiv Singh, State Director, briefed the media on the University's efforts to expand academic outreach and boost enrolment among young aspirants from Manipur.
The University offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in three main areas of study: Police Science and Management, Disaster Management and National Security, and Security and Strategic Studies.
It also provides specialized courses in Cyber Security, Forensic Science, and Language Studies, they informed.
The Director also highlighted the University's mission and its growing role in nation-building through education in security and policing.
Avinash Kharel further stated that addressing the security challenges in the North East region, RRU, Pasighat campus has consistently directed its efforts towards curating training programs and sessions aimed at developing and training youth and in-service personnel, aligning with the evolving needs of internal security and Policing.
Soon, the campus shall expand its course offerings to include more exceptional education and training in the field of internal security and policing.
The courses have been designed to equip aspirants with skills and knowledge in areas such as counter terrorism, intelligence analysis, crime investigation, national security policy, defense and strategic studies and international relations.
