AR rescues 2-year-old girl

Kamjong, April 21 2025:
Assam Rifles carried out critical medical evacuation of a two-year year old girl who had accidentally fallen into a water tank at Grihang in Kamjong district at 5:40 am today.
The Assam Rifles troops and medical personnel conducted a swift air evacuation of two-year old Chuishut after receiving a distress call, said a press note issued by IGAR (S) .
They promptly rushed to the spot, stabilised the child with first aid and within moments coordinated a military helicopter for evacuation to the Assam Rifles Military Hospital in Imphal.
Despite the logistical challenges, the seamless coordination ensured the child was in expert care within hours of the accident.

At Assam Rifles Military Hospital, Mantripukhri, expert paediatric care ensured the child was brought out of grave danger.
In this case, timely intervention was critical and any delay could have cost the young girl her life.
The child's parents were overwhelmed with gratitude and thanked the Assam Rifles for rescuing their daughter.
It is worth noting that Grihang village is located in one of the most inaccessible parts of the State and is poorly connected by road and completely cut off by air, as per the IGAR (S) statement.
