Writers' Forum to organise workshop

Imphal, February 01 2024: Writers' Forum Imphal is set to organise a workshop to translate Manipuri short stories into Kabui, Mao, Poumai and Tangkhul dialects at the conference hall of the Directorate of Trade, Commerce and Industries at Lamphelpat on February 3, 2024 at 10:30 am.

The workshop will be conducted under the Art & Culture Department's Chief Ministergi Artistsinggi Tengbang scheme, said a statement issued by M Notilal, secretary, Writers' Forum Imphal.

The short stories translated during the workshop will be published to introduce the beauty of Manipuri literature through different dialects across the State, the statement added.

The workshop will be attended by noted writers and representatives of literary organisations from the Kabui, Mao, Poumai and Tangkhul communities.

Keithellakpam Dinamani, Director, Art & Culture and Keisam Priyokumar, president Writers' Forum Imphal will grace the event as chief guest and functional president respectively.
