Imphal, January 29 2024:
The Federation of All Tribal Youth Club, Manipur (FATYCM) has appealed to the Governor of Manipur, Chief Minister of Manipur and authorities concerned to declare the result of the interview for recruitment of Assistant Professors in 22 Departments under Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) which was conducted from September 2021 to June 22, 2022 .
A release signed by M Hopeson, secretary FATYCM, informed that despite numerous appeals by the candidates who had appeared in the interview, the Government & authorities concerned have not given any positive response or assurance till date.
"Dilly-dallying in declaring the result on the part of the student is murdering the student as there is an acute shortage of teaching staff in the varsity", it alleged.
Pointing out that the recruitment examination result has been delayed for years, FATYCM expressed dissatisfaction towards the Government and authorities concerned for their alleged incompetence and negligence.
FATYCM further urged the Government to not overlook the Right to Education and Fundamental Rights of students and declare the result immediately in the larger interest of the public.
Meanwhile, denouncing the delay in declaring the result of the recruitment exam of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) conducted by the Education (S) Department, the JAC Education (S) MTS Written Test Completed 2016 & 2018 Batch today staged a sit-in protest at Lamphelpat.
A release issued by the JAC informed that during the sit-in, the protesting candidates strongly condemned the failure of the Education (S) Department to declare the result despite the assurances given by the Chief Minister.
"Although numerous appeals, memorandums have been submitted to the CM and Education (S) Department, the results have not been declared till date", it added.
The JAC further cautioned that if the Government does not take immediate steps to declare the result within February 10, 2023, it will be compelled to launch a series of strong agitation.
