Karunya Deemed University hosts international conference on SAST 2025

Karunya Deemed University successfully organised the International Conference on Sustainable Air and Space Technologies (SAST2025) from April 24 to 26, 2025 .
The event, hosted by the Division of Aerospace Engineering, brought together leading researchers, scientists, and industry experts from around the globe to discuss advancements in sustainable aerospace systems.
A pre-conference workshop on "Challenges in Aero Engine Development and Propulsion Technologies" set the tone for the conference, addressing some of the most pressing issues in the field, said a release.
The two-day conference featured 145 research paper presentations from international and national participants, reflecting a wide range of innovative ideas and breakthrough research.
Distinguished chief guests included Dr Asher Yahalom from Ariel University, Israel; Ajay Pratap, Associate Director at GTRE, DRDO; and Dr Philip Panicker, Chief Scientific-Officer of Netzer Global Alliance, Abu Dhabi.
Eminent dignitaries such as Dr Balakrishnan Bakthavachalam, Dr Jerry Jacob Isaac, Sreelal Sreedhar, BV Ananda Rao Patnaik, Dr Manimozhi Theodore, Dr BVN Charayulu, Dr T John Tharakan, Dr Shripad Mahulikar and Dr T Jaya Chandran, representing premier research institutions like DRDO, CSIR, and ISRO, also shared their expertise during the event.
The conference served as an important platform for fostering global collaboration, promoting research exchange, and encouraging innovation in sustainable air and space technologies.
